Baybrook Mall to host Lego Menorah building event

The event, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be held in the Sears Court of the Baybrook Mall, located at 500 Baybrook Mall in Friendswood.

The Baybrook Mall will host The Lego Menorah project on Tuesday, Dec. 27.

Adults and children are invited to participate in the construction of the largest Menorah in the Houston area ever constructed from Legos.

Hot latkes, doughnuts, prizes, gelt and dreidels will be served and participants will have the opportunity to have a free professional digital photo taken in front of the Lego Menorah.

"The Lego Menorah project conveys how all of us can work together to make this world a better place, one brick at a time," says Rabbi Yitzchok Schmukler, director of Chabad of the Bay Area, in a press release. "And when we light those candles we are reminded that it takes but a small amount of light to dispel much darkness."

The event, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be held in the Sears Court of the Baybrook Mall, located at 500 Baybrook Mall in Friendswood.
