Participate in a Pidyon Haben!

Have you ever been at a Pidyon Haben? 

A Pidyon Haben, or "redemption of the firstborn son," is a ceremony wherein the father of a firstborn male redeems his son by giving a kohen (a priestly descendent of Aaron) five silver coins, thirty days after the baby's birth.

The community is invited to join in the rare opportunity to participate in this special Mitzvah and celebration!

  • This Sunday, April 2nd
    12:15 to 12:45 pm
    at Chabad Bay Area
    (Right after Taste of Talmud class)

A light brunch of Bagels and lox will be served.

Mazel Tov to the Shabani family on the birth of their firstborn baby boy!

The Seder will be held on the first night of Passover, Wednesday, April 5.

If you have not yet reserved, please do so ASAP. All reservations are requested to be in by Sunday, April 2nd.

 MegilahIt is a Mitzvah to hear the reading of the Megillah on both Purim Eve and Purim Day. 

EVENING
Purim Eve - Fast of Esther - Mon, March 6:

- Megillah Reading at 6:30 pm
- Hamantaschen & light refreshments
 

DAYTIME
Purim Day - Tue, March 7:

- Megillah Reading at 9:30 am
- There will also be an express, multi-media enhanced Megillah Reading at the start of the Purim Bash at 5:30 pm
