    Light Candles at 7:27 pm
    Maariv evening service at 7:45 pm
     
  • 7th Day Passover: Wednesday, April 12
    Holiday Morning Service at 10 am
    Evening Candle Lighting (from pre-existing flame) at 8:22 pm
     
  • Final Day Passover: Thursday, April 13
    Holiday Morning Service at 10 am
    - Includes: Yizkor memorial prayer

    Passover Ends: Thursday, April 13 at 8:22 pm

Communal Chametz Burning

  • Wednesday, April 5th between 11:30 am and 12:00 pm (latest) at Chabad Bay Area.

You may bring along any remaining Chametz from your home that you wish to dispose of.  A special declaration prayer is also recited.

Experience the taste of Pesach as it has been for thousands of years! Our sages recommend using the special Shmurah Matzah for the blessing and formal Mitzvah of eating Matzah on Seder night.

Passover: Full Schedule + Candle Lighting Times

Wednesday, April 5 - The Day Before Passover

  • Fast of the Firstborn (more info)
  • Finish eating chametz by 11:16 am
  • Join us for CHAMETZ BURNING at Chabad Bay Area 11:30 am. You may bring the remaining Chametz from your home. 
  • Burn or flush remaining (unsold) chametz by 12:19 pm. We make the special Nullification of Chametz declaration. 
     
  • Light the Passover candles at 7:23 pm (Blessings)
  • 7:30 pm at Chabad - Maariv evening prayer followed by Hallel.
  • First Seder, Kiddush on the first cup of wine should be after nightfall. Key Mitzvot of the Seder are eating matzah, maror (bitter herbs), drinking four cups of wine and relating the story of the Exodus (Seder guide).
  • Community Seder at Chabad Bay Area will be at 8:00 pm (Advance RSVP required

Thursday, April 6 - 1st Day of Passover 

  • COME JOIN US FOR HOLIDAY SERVICES!
    Holiday Morning Service at 10:00 am
    Main part at 10:45 am
    Includes Hallel and special Festival reading. (In Musaf, we switch to the "summer" insert, asking for dew instead of rain).
    Light Kiddush Refreshments at 12:00 pm

Thursday Evening:

  • Light holiday candles (from a pre-existing flame only) after 8:18 pm
  • Second Seder is held at nightfall 
  • Begin "Counting of The Omer

Friday, April 7 - Second Day of Passover

  • JOIN US FOR HOLIDAY SERVICES!
    Holiday Morning Service at 10:00 am
    Main part at 10:45 am
    Includes Hallel and special Festival reading. 
    Light Kiddush Refreshments at 12:00 pm
     
  • Shabbat Candle Lighting at 7:25 pm (from a pre-existing flame)
     
  • JOIN US FOR SHABBAT EVE SERVICES!
    Welcoming the Shabbat evening service  at 7:30 pm 

Shabbat, April 8 - Intermediate Day of Passover

  • Kabbalah Class at 9:00 am 
     
  • JOIN US FOR SHABBAT MORNING SERVICE
    Morning Service  at 10:00 am
    Main part at 10:45 am
    Light Kiddush Refreshments w/ special hot Passover cholent at  around 12:00 pm

  • No Hebrew School Classes
  • No Talmud Class
