One of the special Mitzvot of Purim is to hear the Reading of the Megillah on both the evening and day of Purim! 

COMMUNITY MEGILLAH READING SCHEDULE:

  • PURIM EVE:
    Saturday Evening, March 23
    Megillah Reading at 8:30 pm
    Hamantaschen & Drinks | Feel free to come in costume!
     
  • PURIM DAY:
    Sunday, March 24
    Shacharit at 9:00 am
    Megillah Reading at 10:00 am

    There will be an additional Megillah Reading at the start of the Grand Purim Dinner - Info & RSVP

    Discover the fascinating deeper meaning in the 'Pur' (lottery) of 'Purim!'
     
  • Morning Services 
    Starts at 10:00 am

  • Torah Portion: Vayikra
    G‑d calls to Moses and communicates to him the laws of the korbanot, the animal and meal offerings brought in the Sanctuary. 

    'Parshat Zachor' - On the Shabbat before Purim we read a special section to fulfil the special Mitzvah of remembering what Amalek had done to the Jews. The enmity of Amalek will finally end in the day of Moshiach, may it happen speedily!

     
  • Followed by Kiddush with light refreshments and delicious hot cholent!

A Taste of Tanya

Explore the fascinating world of Jewish spirituality and discover its amazing relevance to our modern lives. Class will be based on the highly regarded classical work, The Book of Tanya.

Held Wednesdays, Bi-Weekly at 7:30 pm (1 hour duration)

This Thursday: The Fast of Esther

The Fast of Esther commemorates the fast undertaken by Queen Esther and the Jewish people before she approached King Ahasuerus to plead for the salvation of her people.

Fast Schedule for this year:

Thursday, March 21

  • Fast Starts: 6:08 am
  • Fast Ends: 7:57 pm

(Times local to Bay Area of Texas) 

The fast is observed by abstaining from both food and drink. The Fast of Esther reminds us of Esther's risking it all on behalf of the Jewish nation and also serves as a time of introspection, charity, prayer, and spiritual preparation leading up to the joyous holiday of Purim.

Update: New Kosher meat service!

Update: We have had a lot of interest in our newly launched service. It is not too late to put in your requests for the first order. Our first order is expected to arrive Mid-March.

We’d like to invite you to submit your requests for the first order (payment will only be due at time of pickup).

If you would like to suggest specific items, please let us know. 

Prices aim to be similar to the Kosher HEB or Randalls in Houston. Purpose of this new service is to make keeping Kosher easy and convenient so you don’t have to shlep down to Houston to purchase Kosher meat. Brands will be from the leading Glatt Kosher brands such as Aaron’s Best and Shar Habor.
