A wonderful time was had by all at the annual Lag Ba’omer Barbecue & Bonfire! We were all treated to delicious Texas style Kosher barbecue with all the trimmings, enjoyed lively music and a surprise unveiling of the Tanya printing project!
Despite weather forecasts that predicted dreary conditions, everyone witnessed the special blessing and success found in Lag Ba’omer, a holiday that commemorates the life of Rabbi Shimon Ben Yochai, the eminent sage whose teachings brought us the Zohar, the foundational book of Kabbalah.
The Talmud has a saying, “One can always rely on Rabbi Shimon when in a pinch.” Indeed, time and time again, this adage is born true at numerous celebrations of this special day.
