Passing of Mr. Marvin Bein, OBM

We are saddened to inform you of the passing on Wednesday morning of Mr. Marvin Bein - Moshe ben Simcha Yosef, Z"L.

Marvin was the beloved husband of Marilyn and father of Tracie, and beloved brother to his sisters Bryna Levi of Houston and Beverly (and Arthur) Liss of Bloomfield Hills, MI and a loving uncle to their children and grandchildren.

Marvin had many dear friends in the community and was an active participant at Chabad of the Bay Area. 

May G-d, The Omnipresent, console Marvin's family and friends, along with all the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.

May his memory be blessed.

Marvin Bein was my childhood playmate and friend. We lived on the same block in Corpus Christi, Texas. I remember his loving and generous family, and especially the times when they invited this Irish Catholic boy into their homes for Jewish celebrations and exotic foods. Marvin's father gave me a memorable tour of the back rooms of Bein Furriers, to see high-end fur garments being made. Marvin and his family were kind and friendly members of our neighborhood.
