Thu, Dec 31, 2015
Blogger, filmmaker, songwriter and whistleblower David Nesenoff will be speaking in the Houston area on Wednesday, Jan. 13, and Thursday, Jan 14. Open to the entire community, Nesenoff’s appearance is sponsored by Chabad of The Woodlands and Chabad of the Bay Area, respectively. He will speak on media bias, anti-Semitism and Jewish identity in modern times.

Nesenoff is widely known as “the man who exposed Helen Thomas,” the de facto “dean” of the White House press corps. As a blogger, filming a short video on Israel, the taped encounter between Nesenoff and Thomas on the White House lawn shocked the world and changed both of their lives forever.

A Youtube clip went viral, causing an international uproar and the subsequent resignation of Thomas from a career that spanned six decades, 10 U.S. presidents and a reserved front-row seat in the White House briefing room. The video catapulted her interviewer, Nesenoff, into the limelight. He received not only accolades and interviews on all major TV networks, but also hate mail and death threats.

In his talk, “A Funny Thing Happened to Me at The White House!” Nesenoff will share his story with humor and wit, as well as reflect on its dramatic aftermath.

Nesenoff speaks to worldwide audiences and often is interviewed in the media. His talks have been called “mind blowing,” “truly uplifting” and “powerful and hilarious.” His films have received numerous awards and have been screened at international film festivals.
